This particular medical treatment works so that when you take it, you never realize that it’s not actually producing an effect; the medication is lying to you.
One could say the same about animation, that it’s a trick of the eye. You must create the illusion of life within an object or drawing that wouldn’t move otherwise.
It’s therefore also important to consider the effort and difficulties that go into the work.
After all, in the creative world, moving hearts with the story and characters is the goal.
“Placebo” is the artist’s soul.
